MANILA, Philippines – The SingTel Group of Singapore, through NCS Pte. Ltd. (NCS) has strengthened its partnership with the leading Philippine conglomerate Ayala Corporation (Ayala) by increasing its stake in their joint venture company – Ayala Systems Technology, Inc. (Ayala Systems), one of the fastest growing IT services company in the Philippines.
Ayala Systems will be developed into a key offshore delivery platform to support the thrust of NCS into the international market. NCS has presence in more than 10 countries across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, employing over 7,000 staff. Its customers include international blue chip market leaders and governments globally. Ayala Systems will complement this with its presence in other leading markets such as Japan, Europe, America and the Philippines.
NCS is one of Asia Pacific’s top Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services provider. In the latest 2008 report on IT Professional Services, Gartner ranked NCS number 8 in terms of market share in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) and number 1 the Singapore market.
With proven expertise in consulting, development, systems integration, outsourcing, infrastructure management and solutions, NCS delivers end-to-end ICT solutions for every organization’s business needs. NCS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the SingTel Group from Singapore. SingTel Group is Asia’s leading communications group with operations and investments in more than 20 countries and territories around the world.
This development will provide SingTel / NCS, through Ayala Systems, access to a large labor pool of IT Professionals, that is highly cost competitive but gives back excellent value in terms of the employee's dedication to work, technical competence, learning and growth potential. Such collaboration is being manifested in its joint-client engagement in Australia; wherein Ayala Systems provide Applications Maintenance and Support for mission critical telecoms operations using the on-shore off-shore model.
For SingTel / NCS to expand into the international market, Ayala Systems' proven experience in the Outsourcing & Offshoring industry will be the platform to capture the predominantly English speaking markets. For Ayala Systems, this expansion is aligned towards its entry in the EU market which has started 2 years ago with its various on-shore/ off-shore projects with leading companies from Stockholm, Sweden.
Ayala Systems is also expected to gain from SingTel’s extensive and highly developed network of clients and partners in major markets in the Asia Pacific, likewise, making it a much more formidable organization in the global BPO/ ITO industry where the Philippines continue to become a key player – now 2nd largest in the world, after India, in terms of market share.
