Ayala Systems and JFE-SI: Strategic Partnership Agreement December 02, 2008

JFE Systems, Inc. (HQ: Sumida-ku Tokyo, President: Makoto Iwahashi hereinafter called JFE-SI) signed "Strategic Partnership Agreement" for its IT services business with Ayala Systems Technology, Inc. (HQ: Makati-city, Philippine, President: Erwin P. Locsin, hereinafter called as ASTI) / ASJ, Inc. (HQ: Chiba-city, Chiba, President: Shigeru Koda hereafter called as ASJ) which are both Systems Integrator (SI) companies of Ayala Group, a well-known conglomerate in the Philippines with more than 15,000 employees in its business process outsourcing (BPO) business. Agreement was signed at the headquarter of ASTI in Makati, Philippines, on December 2, 2008.

Both Parties recognized that Japan and Southeast Asia are major market. And further agreed that it is essential to share and fully utilize knowledge and experience of both companies to respond quickly to such rapid globalization and changing IT technology and business models.

JFE-SI has built up collaboration with ASTI/ASJ since April this year in those areas such as bilingual Technical Support and Software Development Java Frame-work. Through this Partnership Agreement, both parties aim to grow further by providing IT services globally by expanding fields of collaboration and actively utilizing IT resources and skills of both parties.

Both parties agree to organize a joint working team to study new business models and create concrete action plans within 6 months.


JFE-SI mainly promotes the following business through this agreement :

1. Providing various IT services to JFE group companies and Japanese companies located overseas
2. Providing highly qualified and competitive IT services such as offshore development to users in Japan
3. Overseas deployment of products developed by JFE-SI such as solutions for food industries and electronic document management
4. Human resource development necessary for global business operation

ASTI/ASJ mainly promotes the following business through this agreement :

1. Promoting SI business inside the Ayala group companies and Southeast Asian companies through the network of Ayala group
2. Providing various IT services to Japanese affiliate firms located in the Philippines and Southeast Asia
3. Providing IT services such as software development and professional services to companies in Japan
4. Human resource development through projects execution
5. Providing commercial and/or professional services to the overseas deployment of JFE-SI's products
